Happy Friday friends, we’ve all officially made it through our first work week of 2017 (even if some of us had to drag out the New Year’s champagne just a little longer to ease the transition ; ) We are SO glad that today is finally here, because it’s the day we get to share all of the perfectly styled goodness we shot this past September, put together by a vendor team we coudn’t love any more! Keeping these pictures under wraps has basically made us feel like that Kristen Wiig SNL character who just CAN’T keep a secret, and we’ve been been so excited to share we’ve almost snuck into the office and hit the “publish” button a time or two! But we don’t have to sit on our hands or chew our nails any more, because Every Last Detail officially featured this beauty yesterday which means we can share all of our favorites today!
Feminine details like macrame and lace came together seamlessly with an updated Autumn palette for this fun inspiration shoot put together by Marigold Florist and Ever After Vintage Weddings. The shoot took place at the amazing Ivy Astoria, which had clean white walls, tons of greenery, and gorgeous industrial accents (like the awesome vintage fans we couldn’t get enough of) which fused perfectly with the contrast of the soft wedding details. The nontraditional palette included pops of blue and other bright hues, making for a cheerier take on traditional fall hues, and an abundance of flowers (usually reserved for Summer and Spring affairs) were featured throughout the decor, proving that it’s possible to have a vibrant and floral-filled big day that still feels true to the season.
The reception decor was filled with a mix of glassware (including the most stunning vintage amber goblets) and mismatched dishes and gold flatware popped against the wood table. The blue accents continued in the form of the most amazing geode place cards, and the table itself was surrounded by lush florals. For desserts there was a mix of cakes and macarons, arranged beautifully on a workbench with mixed lettering and copper pipe which perfectly coordinated with the industrial feel of the venue. The newlyweds celebrated with marigold martinis (that were even complete with edible marigolds!) and served on a bed of dried marigold petals.
Enjoy all of our favorites and leave some love for the wonderful vendors listed below!
Love + Laughs,
Sarah & Ben
